Why did you want to apply for the Next Generation Committee?

I applied for the Next Generation Committee because I felt I could offer a unique perspective on the Sign & Graphics industry from the print production side of things. As a young person myself coming into the industry, I’ve often felt that events and opportunities were tailored for those with existing expertise and experience. I wanted to be part of a committee that inspires young people to join the industry and shows them all the exciting opportunities it holds.

What are some of your strengths?

Creativity, Kindness, Focused work ethic. These strengths contribute to my success in both my job and my apprenticeship work.

What do you do in your job role?

I am primarily an Apprentice Print Technician, running printers and finishing equipment. I also help with pre-press work when I can and am constantly learning new skills in each area of the business.

Some fun facts about you—both in work and outside of work:

Outside of work, I have a BA (Hons) in Fine Art and still create art alongside my job in print. I’ve recently discovered a passion for boxing, which I’ve been loving! Inside of work, I’m part of the Sustainability Working Group at GH Display, where I’ve had the opportunity to attend Sustainability Training days and learn more about sustainable resources and practices. Through my apprenticeship, I also serve as the Learner Voice, acting as a representative for all students on the courses provided.
