About Isabel,
Isabel's background in Printed Graphics/signage
I currently work in the Studio at Imageco as a Digital Artworker. I started at Imageco as an apprentice in 2022 after finishing college, however I found the apprenticeship disadvantageous so I ended up dropping it and taking the title of Junior Mac Operator instead. Since then I have learned all of the necessary skills to ensure confidence in my role. This means that my day to day usually involves setting up various artworks and working closely with both our Production & Print departments to ensure everything will be printed & cut correctly. I’ve started to get more involved in Project Coordination recently, observing client briefs and seeing the whole process through from start to finish - this has helped me to build my knowledge and understanding of processes outside of the Studio.

Why be a part of the Next Generation Committee?
I believe the next gen committee and our events are important because they provide a wider sense of community and friendship within the industry. The use of events are a perfect opportunity for like-minded young people to socialise and create new connections within the industry. I’m heading towards my second year working in print and can’t believe all of the amazing skills I’ve learned, amazing people I’ve met and amazing events that I’ve attended! Being invited to attend the FESPA Expo in Amsterdam was unbeatable, I gained so much industry knowledge and made some brilliant connections - it definitely stands out as a highlight of my time in print so far.

Being a part of the Next Generation Committee is really important to me, I would have never progressed the way I have without the support of FESPA! I’d love to welcome and retain more young talent into our brilliant industry, and the actions of the committee ensures me that we’re taking the right steps to make this happen.
