Flying the Association flag at FESPA 2015

UK Association Members landed two silvers and a bronze in the prestigious 2015 FESPA Awards, and other UK companies were also among the prizes in Cologne.

Traditionally reticent at these competitions, UK Association companies overcame their shyness to take the two silvers and a bronze in an entry of more than 300 exhibits. Novalia Limited and The Print House Group both took Silver for "Drum Poster" and "Soul Bird Fine Art Print" respectively. DS Smith Display took Bronze for "ASDA Multi-Product FSDU".

Novalia are used to such acclamations, with their work winning awards all over the world. Dr Kate Stone and her team have even created a new word "printovation" in their remarkable work. DS Smith are a major player in the industry but that did not hide the delight of David Atchinson, Operations Director at their plant in Ely when their multiproduct FSDU won bronze.

The UK Association was particularly pleased when a Limited Edition print commissioned for the Screen Printing Now Conference in 2014 won Silver in its class. It was alongside some of the most remarkable work in the competition.
Graeme Richardson-Locke, Operations Director, was ecstatic when he received the text message direct from the presentation ceremony. He was on a plane the very next day to Cologne and was pictured with his award and a smile that reflected the huge amount of work that went into the production of this exclusive work of art.

Further congratulations must be given to other UK companies; Press On Limited, Forest Digital, Digital Plus, Aura Graphics Limited, and Debbie Keeble an artist. Who won Gold, Gold, Silver, Silver and Bronze respectively. Judges were very impressed with the standard of work produced by both digital and screen printing technologies. It was clear that the industry is in a fine state of health.
