Festival Date for Innovative Novalia

Innovative Association Members, Novalia, have been invited to deliver an exciting presentation at one of the world's biggest music, film and interactive festivals - South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas.
Novalia's Kate Stone will be in the spotlight for "Making Music Physical Again" delivering a live demonstration of current projects and sharing news about an upcoming printed MIDI project.

Novalia is an award winning technology company based in Cambridge, UK. They combine conductive print and capacitive touch to create smart surfaces that act as sensors and speakers. Their technology can make music posters play songs live from a simple touch.

Their album covers allow you to spin different tracks by running your hands across the surface of the paper, and their music books support musicians by acting as a portal to their next album, updating wirelessly as their journey unfolds across the book with every song they write, explored by touching the pages.

They recently created interactive DJ decks as a part of DJ QBert's album. This lead to great opportunities and inspired them to work further with musicians around the world to create more exciting and unique user experiences.

Below is a teaser published by Novalia as a hint of what to expect during their SXSW session.
